MINISTRY SCHOOL
CANCELLATION POLICY

Last updated: September 2026

  1. INTRODUCTION

This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations are handled for purchases made from Ministry School (Pty) Ltd through ministryschool.co.za.

This policy currently applies to:

  • Physical books
  • Online courses and digital course material

It does not apply to counselling appointments or other booked services.

This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, and Delivery and Digital Access Policy.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any cancellation or cooling-off rights available to consumers under applicable South African law.

  1. CANCELLING AN ORDER FOR A PHYSICAL BOOK

If you wish to cancel an order for a physical book, please contact Ministry School as soon as possible at:

wilma@ministryschool.co.za

Please include your name and order number.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to cancel the order before delivery.

If the order has already been dispatched, it may no longer be possible to stop the delivery. Any return or refund will then be handled in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy and applicable South African consumer law.

  1. ORDERS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN DISPATCHED

Once a physical order has been handed to the courier or delivery provider, Ministry School may not be able to cancel the delivery.

If you no longer want the product, please contact us for return instructions.

Any applicable return costs, refund rights and statutory cooling-off rights will be determined in accordance with applicable South African law.

  1. ONLINE COURSES AND DIGITAL CONTENT

If you wish to cancel the purchase of an online course, please contact:

wilma@ministryschool.co.za

Please provide your name, order number and the course concerned.

Because online courses and digital material may be made available shortly after payment, cancellation rights may depend on whether access or digital content has already been supplied or accessed.

Where a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right applies, Ministry School will honour that right in accordance with applicable South African law.

  1. STATUTORY COOLING-OFF RIGHTS

Certain electronic transactions may qualify for a cooling-off period under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Where the statutory cooling-off provisions apply to a transaction, Ministry School will process a valid cancellation in accordance with the requirements, time periods and conditions prescribed by law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to require a customer to waive a statutory cooling-off right.

  1. CANCELLATION BY MINISTRY SCHOOL

Ministry School may cancel an order where:

  • Payment has not been successfully completed
  • A physical product is unavailable
  • A product or price has been displayed incorrectly due to an obvious error
  • A course or digital product cannot be supplied
  • Fraudulent or unauthorised activity is reasonably suspected
  • Ministry School is legally required to cancel the transaction

Where Ministry School cancels an order after valid payment has been received and the customer is entitled to repayment, the relevant amount will be refunded.

  1. COURSE CANCELLATION BY MINISTRY SCHOOL

In the unlikely event that Ministry School permanently withdraws a paid online course before the customer has received the access purchased, Ministry School will provide an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Providing alternative access
  • Providing equivalent content with the customer’s agreement
  • Extending the access period
  • Refunding the affected purchase

Any remedy required by applicable consumer law will be honoured.

  1. TEMPORARY TECHNICAL INTERRUPTIONS

Temporary website downtime, maintenance or a technical problem affecting course access does not automatically constitute cancellation of a course.

If a customer cannot access a purchased course because of a technical problem, Ministry School will take reasonable steps to investigate and restore access.

Customers experiencing an access problem should contact:

wilma@ministryschool.co.za

  1. DUPLICATE ORDERS

If you accidentally purchase the same product or course more than once, please contact Ministry School as soon as possible.

Once the duplicate transaction has been verified, Ministry School will take appropriate steps to correct the duplicate purchase and process any refund that is due.

  1. REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION

Where cancellation results in a refund, the refund will be processed in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy and applicable law.

The time taken for a processed refund to reflect in the customer’s account may depend on the payment provider and the customer’s bank.

  1. HOW TO REQUEST A CANCELLATION

To request cancellation, email:

wilma@ministryschool.co.za

Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Your order number
  • The product or course concerned
  • A brief explanation of your cancellation request

We will review the request and advise you of the next steps.
